Wake up and smell the onions

It's 12:40 in the Am (that's just after midnight, folks) and my hubby is cooking up a storm. The house smells of the wonderful aromas of frying onions and spices. He's cooking some spinach and beef curry so Large Hulking Son will have something to take in his lunch tomorrow when he starts taxi driving school. Another generation of Chicago cab drivers is about to begin. Hopefully, LHS will only drive long enough to work his way through college.

If you put you nose close to the computer you can smell the love.

Yummmm..... I can smell those onions and spices all the way from here!!

I discovered your blog tonight. It is SO refreshing to read a blog by an AMERICAN married to a MUSLIM. I haven't read the Archives yet, but is there somewhere in those archives where you talk about how you met your husband and how you decided to marry someone not of the same faith? I would be very interested in that.

I'm a Christian but am also interested in learning about Islam. I'm disgusted at the rabid hatred of Muslims that is apparent these days especially, sadly, by ignorant Christians.

All the best,

Judy,

Dear Judy,
Welcome. It's truely refreshing to find someone who is ready to see Muslims as humanbeings, not a comglomerate of terror and source of all the evil in the world. Today I'm sick with a fever, cold and gum infection. I can hardly see to type properly so in a few days I'll try to find the answer to your questions.

Hi Carol,

I started reading your archives today and found the post about how you met your husband (Feb 17 2004). Thanks for offering to find it for me.

I hope you are feeling much better today.

All the best,

Judy

OOOOOOOH! Reading that made me so homesick! I mean, I'm at home, but ya'll aren't. I tend to forget I have a family rolling around somewhere. It's easier that way. But now you've reminded me. :(
